In response to the unique phenomenon of damage to the screw part of the bottle mouth during the mold production process, a thorough analysis of its causes is conducted, and solutions are proposed.

1, Damage phenomenon and cause analysis of the screw part at the bottle mouth

Phenomenon description: In the bottles produced using the HeYan mold, we observed abnormal stretching of the exhaust groove in the threaded area of the bottle mouth, which extended from the sealing surface all the way to the convex ring part. It is particularly noteworthy that this phenomenon is more frequent in high temperature environments during summer, as the high temperature causes overheating in the thread area of the preform, exacerbating the severity of the problem.

Reason analysis: During the process of feeding the preform into the joint mold cavity through the conveying arm, one side of the threaded area will inevitably be subjected to force. When the position adjustment of the conveying arm is not precise, especially in hot weather conditions, when lifting the preform ring from above the mold, the blowing core not only fails to exert the expected clamping effect when it contacts the preform closure surface, but also softens the material due to high temperature, causing the exhaust groove in the threaded area to be subjected to tensile force during the forced alignment of the blowing core, resulting in damage.

2, Discussion on Solutions

Optimize the collaborative work between the conveying arm and the joint research mold: ensure that the adjustment of the conveying arm reaches the ultimate accuracy to reduce unnecessary external forces on the thread area of the bottle preform. At the same time, check and adjust the alignment mechanism of the blowing core in the joint research mold to ensure that it can stably and accurately position the preform under various temperature conditions.
Control mold temperature and environmental factors: Given that high temperature is one of the main factors exacerbating thread damage, effective measures should be taken to reduce the temperature in the threaded area of the joint research mold, such as optimizing the cooling system or using more efficient heat dissipation materials. In addition, attention should be paid to the overall temperature control of the workshop to reduce the adverse effects on the production process caused by high environmental temperatures.
Enhancing the adaptability of the blowing core: Considering the impact load that may be generated during the alignment process of the blowing core, the design of the blowing core can be improved to enhance its adaptability and buffering capacity, in order to reduce direct impact on the thread area of the bottle preform.
3, Bottom line blurriness phenomenon and supplementary analysis

Phenomenon description: Near the cutting line at the bottom of the bottles produced by Heyan Mold, pearl like stripes often appear, and the wall thickness in these areas is weaker compared to normal bottles.

Supplementary analysis: This phenomenon usually indicates a problem with the material distribution in the bottom cutting line area. Under normal circumstances, the cross-section of this area should be thicker to ensure the strength and stability of the bottle. However, when the material distribution is uneven or there are defects in the mold design, weak areas resembling pearl stripes may appear, and in severe cases, even lead to the production of waste products.

In response to this issue, in addition to inspecting and optimizing the bottom design and material distribution system of the joint research mold, it is also necessary to strengthen quality control and testing methods in the production process, and promptly identify and handle potential quality problems.
